COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT – Two ways you can enjoy the event!

The Silent Auction:

Started in 2024, we've added a Silent Auction as a pool-side event (with online bidding access via www.32auctions.com) so families and friends can bid on auction packages while swimmers are swimming on Swim-a-Thon day! This is a fun way to encourage community engagement and support our swimmers while fundraising to support major equipment investments, graduating senior scholarships, and annual operating costs.

The variety of silent auction packages gives everyone something to bid on. We have highlighted our thoughtful Silent Auction Donors here. When the silent auction closes and an auction item is “won”, payment can be tendered via Venmo @Gleannloch-Gators or cash submitted to the on-site Sponsorship Chair. (We are working on an online bidding/payment capability that will also take credit card.)

The Swim-a-thon: 

Started in 2005, participating swimmers request donations for swimming as many laps as they can. This year donors are asked to give a "flat-amount" to the swimmer for their "laps goal" they commit to swimming (versus a pay per lap amount.) 

Donors sign their name to the swimmer’s Swim-a-thon Pledge Sheet and then submit their flat-donation amount via Venmo @Gleannloch-Gators (make sure to notate: "Swim-a-thon & the Swimmer's Name")...or give the donated amount via cash/checks to the swimmer or the Sponsorship Chair or Treasurer Board member on-site at the event. To be eligible to swim laps you must be on the Gators swim team or be an adult swimmer in the Gleannloch Masters Swim program. These funds raised support the Gators College Scholarship Fund.

DONOR ENGAGEMENT!  Ways you can get involved:

We welcome in-kind donations to create exciting Silent Auction packages.
Business donors of restaurant gift cards, silent auction items, and raffle items will be listed on our website and in media where the Silent Auction is promoted.

We’d love a Swim-a-thon Sponsor to underwrite the event. Special benefits for the Swim-a-thon Sponsor include: branding on all materials and media, reserved parking for the event, and special highlight during the event. They also enjoy all the benefits of the $2,000 Platinum-level Sponsor, including exemption from required service hours if Sponsor has a Gators swimmer, an 11x14 embellished photo plaque, two Team T-shirts, company logo on the T-shirt and travel banner, 5ft tall x 3ft wide corporate banner hung at all home meets, recognition on the website and announcement at home meets, as well as promotions in media/social media.
